License terms

LansAnchor is currently trial-only: the product is not yet sold, and no key type beyond the trial is issued today. A trial license grants you the right to use the LansAnchor Unity package for evaluation, under the terms below. One seat grants one developer the right to use the package on one active machine at a time. Activating the license on a machine binds it to that machine (a hash of the machine identifier is sent, never the raw value); you manage your machines on your account /licenses page. Keys are validated offline by the package itself; the license server is used only to issue and (if needed) revoke keys, not to gate every use.

A license key is tied to the individual or organization it was issued to. Do not share your license beyond your seat count; a trial key can be revoked for violations. A leaked or compromised key can likewise be revoked.

Trial terms

The free trial issues a time-limited, usage-limited key (exact limits are set at issuance) for evaluation purposes. One trial per email address per 30-day cooldown period after expiry. This is enforced automatically, not a judgment call. No payment is taken for a trial, and there is nothing to refund.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• Attempt to bypass, forge, or tamper with license validation.
• Share, resell, or redistribute a license beyond the seat count you hold.
• Use the trial mechanism to repeatedly obtain trial keys for the same underlying identity (address rotation, disposable-email abuse, etc).
• Use the software in a way that violates applicable law.

Violation may result in license or trial revocation, at our discretion.

Disclaimer of liability

The software is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Registration accuracy depends on scan quality and geometry; see how it knows it’s right for the verification gates that reject unreliable matches rather than reporting a silent wrong answer. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software.

Governing law

Not yet finalized. A jurisdiction clause will be added before this policy gets its formal legal review.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated page; continued use of a license after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
