Shared spatial anchors, cross-device,
from room geometry alone.
Azure Spatial Anchors died this year. Every replacement runs on someone’s cloud.
LansAnchor doesn’t.
No camera image ever leaves the device. Anchors are computed from geometry alone.
Designed to work in the dark, on a plane, in your basement: depth-sensor capture where cameras fail.
For spaces that can’t share photos
LansAnchor is spatial anchoring for teams that cannot, or will not, send pictures of their space to someone else’s cloud. Visual positioning systems map your facility by uploading camera images, then localize by sending frames to a server. LansAnchor computes anchors from pure geometry, entirely on the device, and shares them as a small file you own. There is no map hosting, no query quota, no scanning app, and no service that can be retired out from under your deployment. It is built for rooms and buildings, not cities. Think defense floors, plant floors, and hospital floors, where “offline” is a compliance line, not a feature request.
